You will create CAD models and manufacturing drawings, perform connector calculations, validate designs, coordinate suppliers and tooling, support prototype builds, and maintain engineering documentation and revision history.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of connector design, electromechanical packaging, or interconnect engineering experience
- 3D CAD proficiency with CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent
- Experience designing custom housings, overmolds, contacts, or electromechanical assemblies
- Ability to create manufacturing-ready 2D drawings with GD&T
- Knowledge of connector current rating, contact resistance, derating, and power dissipation
- Experience developing validation test plans and executing qualification testing
- Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Hands-on prototyping, testing, and hardware troubleshooting experience
Responsibilities
