About the Role
You will own and maintain configuration baselines for fielded aircraft, payloads, software, ground equipment, and sustainment assets. You will control changes, track serial-number applicability, support releases and retrofits, resolve traceability gaps, and provide configuration-health updates.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in configuration management, change control, aviation sustainment, product support, manufacturing operations, product lifecycle management, engineering operations, or hardware sustainment
- Experience managing configuration baselines, revision control, change effectivity, fielded asset records, engineering change processes, or product release control
- Understanding of as-built and as-maintained records, serial number traceability, effectivity management, and engineering change control
- Experience supporting engineering change requests, engineering change orders, release readiness reviews, retrofit planning, service actions, or fielded product updates
- Technical fluency with bills of material, part revisions, drawings, software releases, configuration records, product structures, or fielded-system documentation
- Ability to possess a Secret DoD security clearance
Responsibilities
- Maintain fielded and as-maintained configuration baselines
- Track serial numbers, hardware revisions, software versions, payload configurations, and retrofit status
- Manage change control for fielded systems
- Support engineering change requests, engineering change orders, release reviews, retrofit plans, and service actions
- Maintain configuration records for deployed assets and spares
- Define and maintain change effectivity logic
- Coordinate change implementation with engineering, fleet support, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and customer success
- Identify and escalate configuration risks and traceability gaps
- Support audits, reviews, and investigations requiring configuration history
- Improve configuration-management processes, tracking, and reporting tools
- Provide leadership updates on configuration health and deployment progress
