About the Role

Join Graphcore's Manufacturing Operations team in the UK to support new product introduction and volume manufacturing. The role manages component specification, selection, sourcing, approved component lists, BoM revisions, compliance, component technologies, obsolescence, and supply risk while collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

Requirements

  • In-depth working knowledge of BOM management and sourcing systems such as Arena and Silicon Expert.
  • Excellent electronics knowledge and familiarity with component parameters and datasheets.
  • Good understanding of PCB manufacturing and SMT assembly processes.
  • Ability to understand dependencies between silicon, package, and PCB design.
  • Experience working with leading-edge electronics supply chain suppliers, preferably offshore contract manufacturers.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • BEng/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support the selection, evaluation, and qualification of electronic and electro-mechanical components.
  • Create and maintain approved component lists and Bills of Material revisions using Arena or other tools.
  • Ensure components and products meet industry compliance requirements for quality, emissions, safety, and the environment.
  • Survey the market for enabling component technologies for next-generation products.
  • Assess component supply risks, manage obsolescence, and propose alternative sourcing solutions.
  • Travel occasionally to global supplier sites.
