About the Role
You will help develop and refine communications strategy, monitor media engagement, and identify outreach opportunities. You will create social and email content, support events and publications, maintain contact data, manage media relationships, and use analytics to improve content decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of related communications, publishing, or related experience
- Experience with Google Drive, Microsoft suite, Asana, and Zoom
- Experience managing mailing lists and social media platforms
- Familiarity with web development platforms such as WordPress
- Experience or commitment to accessible events and public-facing materials
- Experience or interest in labor-related issues and policy
- Experience or interest in data analytics
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and refine communications strategy
- Track media engagement and identify outreach opportunities
- Support public-facing events and presentations
- Draft and manage social media content
- Produce and distribute email newsletters
- Support the design, development, and release of publications and reports
- Manage media partnerships and coordinate with communications partners
- Track content performance and recommend content-strategy improvements
- Maintain the contact database
