About the Role
You will lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial and partnership agreements. You will manage transactions end to end, advise stakeholders on contractual and commercial legal matters, identify legal and compliance risks, and improve contracting processes, templates, and playbooks.
Requirements
- Be a qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction
- Have at least 5 years of relevant legal experience
- Have strong in-house and/or law-firm commercial contract experience
- Be able to independently draft, review, structure, and negotiate complex agreements
- Demonstrate business acumen and practical commercial judgment
- Manage multiple transactions and priorities with minimal supervision
- Have stakeholder management, communication, and time-management skills
- Be available to start as soon as possible and commit to a minimum 3-month contract
Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, structuring, review, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial and partnership agreements
- Handle agreements with banks, payment service providers, exchanges, wallets, custodians, fintech companies, and digital asset partners
- Manage commercial transactions and contract negotiations end to end
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify risks and reflect legal and compliance considerations in agreements
- Provide practical advice on contractual obligations, commitments, and commercial legal matters
- Advise management on contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and legal risks
- Communicate complex legal considerations clearly to different audiences
- Improve contracting processes, templates, playbooks, and procedures
