About the Role
You will define and deliver the technology and engineering strategy, lead engineering and research engineering teams, and translate research into secure, scalable capabilities. You will guide technical investment, architecture, AI infrastructure, standards, partnerships, and technology risk decisions.

Responsibilities
- Shape the Institute’s overall strategy as an Executive Leadership Team member
- Define and deliver the technology and engineering strategy
- Build, lead and develop a world-class engineering organisation
- Integrate research and engineering to translate research into practical impact
- Develop capabilities for secure, scalable and sustainable deployment
- Lead AI model training, evaluation and deployment environments
- Set engineering, architecture and technical assurance standards
- Guide investment and build, buy or partner decisions
- Address technical debt and unnecessary complexity
- Embed security, privacy, responsible technology and resilience into delivery
- Develop strategic partnerships
- Advise the Board and Executive Leadership Team on technology opportunities and risks
