About the Role

You will own the entire engineering organization, including blockchain infrastructure, smart contract development, mobile (iOS/Android), web, and backend systems. You will define and execute the technical roadmap, architect market and protocol-level infrastructure, and drive core workstreams across trading infrastructure, tokenization, and consumer apps. You will build, scale, and retain a distributed engineering team, implement processes that enable extreme velocity while maintaining code quality and security, and present technical strategy and progress to executive leadership.

Requirements

• 12+ years in engineering with at least 5 years in VP/CTO/Head of Engineering roles at high-growth companies
• Proven trading systems background, including experience with perpetuals, spot trading, order matching, or derivatives infrastructure
• Deep hands-on experience with EVM-based smart contracts and Solidity, and familiarity with DeFi protocols and onchain infrastructure
• Mobile-first consumer product experience, having shipped mobile apps at scale (React Native or native iOS/Android), ideally in fintech, trading, or gaming
• Cross-functional engineering leadership managing blockchain, backend, and mobile teams
• Familiarity with sports betting or prediction markets and related mechanics (vig, odds, early exit)

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the mobile-first trading platform
• Architect the hybrid CLOB and RFQ market structure
• Design protocol-level infrastructure decisions
• Own integration architecture with Crypto.com infrastructure
• Build, scale, and retain a high-performance engineering team across blockchain, smart contract, mobile, and backend disciplines
• Establish an engineering culture focused on accountability, velocity, and technical excellence
• Implement engineering processes that maintain code quality and security while enabling extreme velocity
• Manage a globally distributed team across APAC, EU, and US time zones
• Drive workstreams for trading infrastructure, tokenization and RWA, blockchain and protocol, and consumer app development
• Partner with product teams and CDC engineering teams and present technical strategy to executive leadership
• Build business cases for engineering investments with clear ROI articulation
