About the Role

You will lead the FCM's hands-on finance function. You will monitor capital and segregation requirements, prepare regulatory filings, manage close and financial reporting, support examinations and audits, and establish policies, procedures, and controls.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or regulatory reporting experience
  • Hands-on experience at a carrying FCM
  • Experience preparing or reviewing daily segregation computations, residual-interest calculations, and monthly Form 1-FR-FCM filings
  • Knowledge of CFTC financial requirements under Parts 1, 22, and 30
  • Knowledge of NFA financial requirements
  • Experience with WinJammer
  • Experience supporting NFA and DSRO examinations and annual FCM audits
  • Ability to manage monthly close and produce standalone financial statements for a regulated entity
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliation and balance-sheet substantiation
  • Ability to communicate capital, liquidity, and customer-funds issues to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and monitor adjusted net capital, risk-based capital requirements, regulatory haircuts, and capital thresholds daily
  • Own daily segregation and residual-interest computations, funds-on-deposit tracking, and undermargined customer reporting
  • Prepare and file monthly Form 1-FR-FCM reports through WinJammer
  • Coordinate annual FCM audits and serve as the primary finance contact for NFA and DSRO examinations
  • Manage monthly close, financial statements, accounting judgments, intercompany balances, allocations, and balance-sheet substantiation
  • Report financial condition, capital adequacy, liquidity, customer-funds protection, and emerging risks to the FCM CEO and Audit Committee
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and the broader finance organization
  • Build and maintain finance policies, procedures, and internal controls
