About the Role

You will perform occupant-safety simulation activities across virtual and physical development phases through sign-off and certification. You will build vehicle, dummy, and restraint models, correlate virtual and physical results, support structural analysis and virtual DVPs, recommend countermeasures, produce reports, and present findings at project gateways.

Requirements

Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Experience with FMVSS, USNCAP, IIHS, ECE, EU legal, and consumer safety protocols
Extensive virtual occupant safety CAE development experience using LS-DYNA
Experience with BetaCAE, Oasys, LS-DYNA, FE dummies, and LS-Opt
Strong analytical and communication skills
Basic Python coding experience

Responsibilities

Support vehicle-level safety targets
Own occupant safety CAE and balance it with other vehicle integration attributes
Set up vehicle, dummy, and restraint models and coordinate model builds
Support virtual and physical correlation
Support vehicle structural analysis across attributes
Support and execute virtual DVPs
Suggest countermeasure design solutions
Generate virtual analysis engineering reports
Support report-outs at project gateways
Lead small teams and weekly cadence meetings
