About the Role
You will support mechanical design from concept through implementation. You will create and refine mechanical designs, produce 2D drawings and 3D models, develop and test prototypes, document assembly and test processes, and help integrate hardware components into overall system designs. You will also use rapid-prototyping methods, including 3D printing and CNC machining, with attention to design for manufacturability.
Requirements
- Support at least 30 hours onsite in Carson, California, beginning October 2026
- Be currently pursuing or hold a BS degree in mechanical engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Have 1–2 years of SOLIDWORKS design experience
- Have 1–2 years of hands-on hardware and software experience
- Have experience with 3D solid modeling, analysis, and 2D manufacturing drawings
- Demonstrate communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Meet United States export-control eligibility requirements and maintain work authorization throughout employment
Responsibilities
- Support engineers and designers in creating, modifying, and refining mechanical designs using SOLIDWORKS
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and systems from engineering specifications
