About the Role
You will place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for direct contract projects and indirect business needs. You will monitor orders, maintain MRP data, negotiate supplier terms, prioritize program requirements, communicate supplier risks, and resolve purchasing, delivery, receiving, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 5+ years of supply chain experience, or 9+ years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems
Responsibilities
- Place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts
- Monitor and expedite open purchase orders
- Maintain accurate purchase order data in the MRP system
- Conduct supplier negotiations for terms, price, and schedule
- Prioritize and execute program requirements
- Communicate supplier performance risks to internal customers
- Resolve purchasing, delivery, receiving, invoice, and supplier payment discrepancies
