About the Role
You will lead first-line business risk management for Manila and designated global functions. You will identify and escalate risks and control gaps, manage incidents, improve controls and governance, establish risk metrics, support audits and regulatory reviews, and partner with operational and assurance teams.
Requirements
- Over 12 years of experience in financial services or risk management
- Experience in non-financial risk management or business management
- Risk and compliance domain knowledge
- Experience with process and control reviews
- Change risk management experience
- Knowledge of the financial industry and State Street products and services
- Experience leading change management programs
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex risk themes to senior management
- Ability to manage stakeholders and competing priorities
- Experience managing, coaching, and influencing colleagues and stakeholders
- Relevant graduate degree or master's qualification
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
- Maintain consistent business risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Build governance and operational risk-management partnerships with senior leaders
- Escalate key risks, control gaps, and issues and recommend mitigation solutions
- Oversee incidents and issues affecting Manila and assigned business functions
- Improve risk mitigation strategies, controls, procedures, and best practices
- Execute business risk initiatives that reduce non-financial risk
- Facilitate risk and control governance forums
- Establish metrics that identify risk themes and enable data-driven decisions
- Implement risk-management processes and frameworks
- Ensure adherence to policies and standards
- Support regulatory and audit engagements, including SOX and SOC assessments
- Partner with second- and third-line teams on enterprise risk and control objectives
