About the Role
You will lead technical architecture decisions for a payments platform and document trade-offs in ADRs. You will evolve critical payment flows, align technology, product, compliance, and operations, and develop engineers through feedback and development plans. You will participate in incident response, support corrective actions, gather client requirements, and oversee payment-system integrations.
Requirements
- Make architecture decisions for product teams
- Work with distributed production systems
- Understand messaging, eventual consistency, idempotency, delivery guarantees, retries, and dead-letter queues
- Work with critical transactional systems
- Design and version APIs and integrate third-party systems
- Lead projects and teams
- Use agile methodologies and manage end-to-end delivery
Responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture decisions and document trade-offs in ADRs
- Maintain quality, observability, and security standards
- Design and evolve critical payment flows
- Align technology, product, compliance, and operations priorities
- Develop engineers through feedback, development plans, seniority calibration, and succession planning
- Participate in incident response and postmortems
- Track corrective actions with assigned owners and deadlines
- Meet clients to define requirements
