About the Role
You will build, ship, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems. You will own implementation from design through deployment, contribute to architecture and technical scoping, refactor legacy code, and improve production readiness through incident response, root-cause analysis, and observability. You will write testable, documented code, participate in reviews and design discussions, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on production experience with Go.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD tooling in collaborative workflows.
- Working knowledge of React and/or Next.js.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems.
- Own implementation from design through deployment, ensuring maintainability and performance.
- Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical input.
- Refactor legacy codebases while maintaining feature continuity.
- Handle incident response, root-cause analysis, and observability improvements.
- Write clear, testable, well-documented code.
- Contribute through code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on objectives and deliverables.
- Contribute to technical scoping and estimation.
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve the developer experience.
