About the Role
You will design and deliver secure, scalable AI integration platforms that connect enterprise systems. You will own backend services and high-throughput APIs, define identity and trust boundaries, set technical direction, and improve reliability, observability, resilience, testing, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems
- Experience with TypeScript, Deno, Node.js, or Bun
- Experience designing API-driven platform services and distributed systems
- Expertise building AI integration layers, including MCP clients or servers, tool orchestration, external API connectors, and authentication mediation
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, API keys, token lifecycle, secret management, and least-privilege access
- Cloud-native experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production operations
- Experience with observability, SLOs, SLAs, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning
- Backend experience with TypeScript, Node, or Python and PostgreSQL
- Ability to lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and own delivery
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, scalable AI integration platforms
- Evolve the AI integration client ecosystem
- Own backend service design for high-throughput, low-latency APIs
- Set technical direction for identity, authentication, and trust boundaries
- Shape the roadmap and technical strategy with cross-functional leaders
- Define and enforce SLOs and SLAs
- Improve observability, resilience, incident readiness, and performance
- Lead architecture reviews, design standards, testing strategy, and mentorship
