About the Role
You will maintain and prepare autonomous test vehicles for software integration and testing. You will diagnose vehicle and autonomous-driving-kit issues, perform repairs and calibrations, install hardware and sensors, deploy software, document work, and help ensure vehicle safety, readiness, and availability.
Requirements
- Experience servicing and repairing automotive or heavy machinery, including complex electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot vehicle or machinery problems using shop, automotive, and diagnostic tools
- Computer proficiency for communications, documentation, data collection, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations and shop safety practices

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and field personnel on tests and R&D projects
- Review logs, maintenance histories, manuals, and specifications to diagnose and repair issues
- Inspect and document component installations, maintenance, repairs, and replacements
- Provide time and parts estimates and ensure vehicles are safe and operable
- Maintain test vehicles and maximize their availability for software integration testing
- Perform base-vehicle service, calibrations, and autonomous-driving-kit maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve autonomous-driving-kit component reliability issues
- Coordinate sensor replacements, RMAs, and repairs
- Prepare vehicles for testing, including fueling
- Perform autonomous-driving-kit updates and install sensors or hardware
- Deploy software before test execution
- Track vehicle usage and availability metrics
- Support system integration testing as a Test Conductor
- Maintain inventory of parts, fluids, materials, and supplies
- Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment
