About the Role

You will support the safe execution of autonomous-vehicle tests. You will inspect vehicles, deploy and offload software, monitor driving conditions and vehicle operations, stop testing when risks arise, analyze incidents, and document findings for engineers and managers.

Requirements

• Computer science experience or strong computer literacy
• Knowledge of transportation, engineering, or safety
• Ability to monitor software on a laptop and read, analyze, and type in a moving vehicle
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound independent judgment
• Valid US driver's license with a safe driving record
• 6+ years of driving experience on US roads
• Ability to comply with alcohol and drug testing policy
• Ability to travel 1–2 nights per week

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, software deployment and offloading, and safety checks
• Check vehicle status before tests and monitor updates during tests
• Pause or stop vehicle operations to reduce risks and inform the operations manager
• Analyze incidents and execute safe mitigation responsibilities
• Review logistics reports and road, traffic, and weather conditions
• Share test-run analysis, feedback, and documentation with engineers and managers
• Report repair, maintenance, and safety concerns before vehicle operation
