About the Role
You will install, wire, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based controls, robotic systems, electrical cabinets, instrumentation, and production equipment. You will document work, support plant networking and preventive maintenance, follow electrical and explosive-safety procedures, and assist manufacturing operations during energetics campaigns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field, or 1–3 years of hands-on industrial electrical, controls, or automation experience
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic ladder logic
- Knowledge of LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and OSHA electrical safety
- Computer and data-entry proficiency
- Completion of DoD Explosives Safety or equivalent safety training within 30 days of employment
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background checks
- U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible for required export authorization
Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and commission PLC-based control systems and robotic systems
- Build, wire, and inspect electrical cabinets
- Run field wiring and conduit under NEC and UL508A requirements
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and control-system malfunctions
- Support plant networking, data acquisition, and remote-access configuration
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration checks
- Maintain wiring schematics, bills of materials, calibration records, and maintenance logs
- Follow safety, environmental, explosive-handling, LOTO, and arc-flash procedures
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Safety, and Compliance teams
- Install and maintain automated mixing, dispensing, and processing systems
- Troubleshoot production equipment during energetics campaigns
