About the Role

You will develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace products and aircraft systems. You will create tooling and work instructions, support prototype and production builds, troubleshoot issues, validate processes, and collaborate across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and industrial engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 0–3 years of manufacturing, production, process engineering, or related experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production operations
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or advanced manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with prototype builds, NPI, or production environments preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP, MES, PLM, or AS9100 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Design and improve assembly tools, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing aids
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, SOPs, and process flows
  • Improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost through DFM/DFA
  • Support prototype builds, engineering builds, production readiness, and new product introductions
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate to improve safety, quality, throughput, and productivity
  • Support tooling validation, first article inspections, process qualification, and production validation
  • Use CAD software to develop tooling concepts, manufacturing layouts, and support equipment
  • Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives
  • Ensure processes comply with engineering requirements, quality standards, and procedures
