About the Role

You will provide hands-on quality support for build and repair operations on the manufacturing floor. You will triage assembly issues, own nonconformances, lead root-cause and corrective-action projects, implement quality controls, track defect metrics, and coordinate corrective actions across engineering and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable industry experience
  • 3–6 years of manufacturing quality engineering experience with direct shop-floor support
  • Advanced knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and DMAIC root-cause methodologies
  • Experience triaging nonconformances, managing MRB workflows, and issuing containment actions
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, assembly specifications, and GD&T
  • Experience developing control plans, containment protocols, and inspection SOPs
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional corrective-action projects
  • Ability to work directly on the production floor

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily manufacturing-floor support and triage build issues, nonconformances, and assembly failures
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action projects
  • Lead the Material Review Board process and disposition nonconforming hardware
  • Implement containment actions, quality gates, and in-process inspection standards
  • Coordinate corrective-action projects across engineering, reliability, and operations
  • Update work instructions, SOPs, and inspection checklists
  • Track and present defect trends, first-pass yield losses, and CAPA cycle times
  • Escalate critical build blockers and technical design flaws
