About the Role

BitGo seeks a strategic legal leader based in Singapore to oversee legal and regulatory affairs across APAC, mitigate cross-border risks, support commercial growth, and lead a growing regional team.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified lawyer in Singapore or another major common law jurisdiction with exceptional academic credentials.
• At least twelve years of experience, including significant in-house regional leadership.
• Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory environments across Southeast Asia, Australia, and Greater China.
• Experience managing distributed legal teams and complex multijurisdictional challenges.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance compliance with rapid business growth.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute regional legal strategy aligned with global business objectives.
• Advise APAC leadership on high-stakes commercial ventures and regional expansions.
• Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and government relations across APAC.
• Guide the regional team through data privacy, financial, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Manage disputes, employment matters, and corporate transactions alongside external counsel.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop legal professionals across regional hubs.
