About the Role
You will build and lead the AIT organization, facility, workforce, plans, budget, schedule, and test campaign through launch handoff. You will oversee payload integration, spacecraft verification, environmental testing, hazardous operations, launch-site interfaces, optical processing, providers, logistics, risk management, testbeds, ground-support equipment, and mission-operations rehearsals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of spacecraft AIT, integration, or launch-site processing experience
- 3+ years leading teams
- Experience executing a spacecraft launch campaign at a U.S. range
- Knowledge of range-safety processes and documentation
- Experience with spacecraft environmental testing and external test providers
- Experience developing test procedures and integration flows against a Requirements Verification Plan
- Experience with PRACA, failure review boards, and risk-register management
- Experience managing technicians in cleanroom and hazardous-operations environments
- Experience with MGSE, lift operations, and GSE certification
- U.S. person status or U.S. Government approval for export-controlled information
Responsibilities
- Build, staff, and lead the AIT organization
- Own AIT plans, budgets, schedules, resources, and critical paths
- Lead payload-to-platform integration and spacecraft-level test execution
- Manage integration readiness, supplier flows, and anomaly response
- Establish an integration facility and manage commercial processing providers
- Coordinate hardware transportation and in-transit protection
- Manage range safety, hazardous operations, and launch-vehicle integration
- Own environmental test campaigns and external test-provider activities
- Manage optical-system handling, alignment, cleanliness, and contamination control
- Establish PRACA, risk-management, configuration-management, and record-keeping processes
- Plan and operate testbeds and ground-support equipment
- Recruit, qualify, and manage technicians and provider personnel
- Support mission rehearsals and operations-readiness testing
