About the Role
You will assemble production hardware and prototypes, maintain construction robots, support testing, and occasionally assist on construction sites. You will plan builds, provide design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly feedback, perform quality checks, organize components, and maintain a safe workshop.
Requirements
- Ability to sequence and build assemblies with limited instructions and documentation
- Hands-on experience assembling parts and using metal tools
- Ability to determine and carry out assembly checks with engineers
- Ability to perform quality spot checks
- Knowledge of relevant procedures including bolt selection and tightening torques
- Ability to read bills of materials and organize components
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble production hardware and maintain robots
- Perform robot health checks and keep robots ready for site use
- Support robot operation and build testing rigs
- Assist on construction sites when needed
- Plan and organize small-series builds
- Provide DFM and DFA feedback and assemble robots
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
