About the Role

You will own end-to-end accounting and core finance operations for a multi-entity group operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will be accountable for audit-ready books, disciplined controls, and compliant reporting across crypto and fiat activity, working closely with leadership. You will run the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, maintain the general ledger, and keep documentation audit-ready at all times. You will lead crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, custodians, networks, and tokens, ensuring balances are reconciled with strong audit trails. You will manage intercompany operations, implement finance controls appropriate for a lean team, coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax providers, and deliver clear management-ready reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and treasury snapshots. You will also support budgeting, forecasting, and payment operations.

Requirements

• 6+ years in accounting, controllership, or finance operations roles with end-to-end ownership of close and reporting
• Prior experience in web3/crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations - Mandatory
• Strong technical accounting foundation with IFRS/GAAP-level knowledge
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting across multiple jurisdictions
• Crypto-native accounting experience including wallets, exchanges, reconciliation, and audit trails
• Strong documentation discipline and high integrity
• Comfortable operating in a lean, high-ownership environment
• Excellent written communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Xero - Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Cryptio - Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across entities
• Maintain the general ledger including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules
• Run a standard close calendar and checklist and drive the close to completion
• Maintain a monthly exceptions queue and clear it consistently
• Keep documentation audit-ready with an organized evidence chain
• Own bookkeeping across all entities and ensure consistent policies and coding
• Maintain intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, and balances
• Support arm's-length and related-party hygiene with clear narratives and support
• Lead end-to-end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, custodians, networks, and tokens
• Reconcile crypto balances and support them with audit trails such as wallet addresses and transaction hashes
• Maintain classification rules for crypto flows including revenue, custody transfers, gas fees, staking, airdrops, and liquidity provision
• Maintain schedules for realized versus unrealized gains and losses and cost basis
• Implement and maintain finance controls including approvals and segregation of duties
• Maintain a compliance calendar in partnership with external advisors
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel
• Deliver management-ready reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance narratives
• Produce burn reporting and spend insights
• Support budgeting and forecasting cadence including annual budget and rolling forecast
• Maintain visibility across fiat accounts and crypto holdings
• Support payment operations with strong authorization and recordkeeping
• Produce regular cash and treasury reporting
