About the Role
You will provide technical ownership for wind projects throughout development, construction, and operations. You will lead preliminary designs and technical due diligence, manage engineering providers and contractor deliverables, conduct field inspections, support commissioning, optimize systems, and provide technical guidance for project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
- 1–3 years of professional experience in wind project design, development, construction, or analysis
- Experience with collection systems, substations, gen-tie systems, switchyards, site civil infrastructure, turbine foundations, and geotechnical systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Perform technical due diligence for M&A projects and portfolios
- Provide constructability guidance
- Lead preliminary balance-of-plant design
- Coordinate geotechnical investigations
- Support micrositing activities
- Prepare engineering inputs for permitting
- Develop and evaluate RFPs
- Support contract negotiations
- Develop project scopes and design standards
- Coordinate engineering consultants and review deliverables
- Support construction with technical oversight and contractor coordination
- Conduct QA/QC field inspections and safety assessments
- Review commissioning reports and evaluate system performance
- Optimize designs and troubleshoot operating systems
- Mentor team members and improve execution processes
