About the Role
You will define control and data contracts between facility energy controllers and third-party power plant controllers. You will specify operating sequences, point maps, interlocks, and constraints; translate electrical requirements into software requirements; validate interfaces in simulation; and support automated commissioning.
Requirements
- Experience with MQTT, OPC UA, and REST APIs
- Ability to write and read code for integrations, device testing, and software reviews
- Python or Go
- Ability to read one-line diagrams and panel schedules
- Experience designing data contracts between systems
- Experience writing control narratives for coordinated controllers
- Fluency in controls and software engineering
- Microgrid and behind-the-meter control
- DNP3

Responsibilities
- Define control and data contracts between facility energy controllers and third-party power plant controllers
- Define control sequences for normal operations, generation shortfalls, source transitions, blackstart, and emergency shedding
- Specify point maps, interlocks, and constraint classes for vendors
- Translate electrical and generation constraints into software requirements
- Validate interfaces, constraints, and mode transitions in simulation
- Support automated commissioning
