About the Role
You will lead legal work for data centre design, engineering, construction, and commissioning across multiple projects. You will negotiate infrastructure contracts, manage procurement and vendors, mitigate project risks, and support site development and expansion initiatives.
Requirements
- 12+ PQE as a lawyer leading large-scale construction, infrastructure, or mission-critical programmes
- Experience delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure programmes
- Experience managing complex multi-site projects across the UK and/or EMEA
- Experience in non-contentious construction, major infrastructure, or industrial development
- Experience in vendor management, facilities management, procurement, and commercial negotiation
- Understanding of land acquisition, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning
- Expertise in colocation contracting and customer technical requirements
- Ability to identify commercial and legal risk and develop pragmatic solutions
- Leadership and senior stakeholder-management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead legal aspects of data centre design, engineering, and construction projects
- Oversee project development from planning through construction and commissioning
- Lead expansion and new-site development initiatives
- Support colocation, supplier, and partner negotiations
- Execute EPC, supplier, and colocation contracts
- Manage procurement activities and vendor governance
- Mitigate project risks and drive standardised design and construction frameworks
