About the Role
The role promotes compliance culture in Wealth Management by establishing and implementing policies and procedures that meet applicable laws, regulations, and rules in Hong Kong. It advises business units, supports regulatory reviews, oversees controls, assists with product approvals, liaises with regulators, and provides compliance education and training.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline, or legal or accountancy professional qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, banking, financial supervision, or relevant professional advisory work
- In-depth knowledge of banking and financial sector laws and regulations
- Knowledge of compliance best practices
- Understanding of financial products and Wealth Management operations
- Ability to analyze issues and formulate recommendations
- Ability to communicate with management and frontline staff
- Ability to develop and coach staff
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Writing ability
Responsibilities
- Liaise with senior business management on compliance issues and developments
- Provide practical compliance advice and escalate major regulatory matters
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop internal policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Communicate regulatory matters and monitor internal control systems
- Review and sign off new products, services, and businesses from a regulatory perspective
- Liaise with regulators on compliance matters
- Provide compliance education and training
- Oversee regulatory examinations, inspections, and investigations
