About the Role
Own the compliance function for a global, non-custodial financial infrastructure business spanning crypto and fiat rails.
Requirements
- Eight or more years of compliance experience
- Meaningful experience at a crypto or DeFi company, digital asset exchange, or financial institution with a serious digital assets practice
- Working command of OFAC sanctions requirements applied to on-chain activity
- Direct experience with non-custodial or self-custody product architectures
- Fluency with blockchain analytics tooling and on-chain investigation
- Ability to write and defend compliance standards
- Excellent written communication
- Comfort serving as the first and only compliance hire
Responsibilities
- Build and own the compliance function
- Own sanctions screening standards, escalation, decisioning, recordkeeping, and reporting
- Develop policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Select and manage blockchain analytics and screening vendors
- Embed compliance controls into product and engineering design
- Direct outside compliance advisors
- Expand ownership to the full fiat and crypto compliance program
