About the Role

You will source and evaluate venture capital and buyout fund opportunities, manage global deal flow, and research investment sectors and themes. You will lead qualitative and quantitative due diligence on funds, growth-stage co-investments, and venture secondaries; prepare investment memoranda; negotiate partnership terms; and support portfolio construction. You will monitor investments, contribute research and thought leadership, mentor junior colleagues, support marketing and investor relationships, and travel domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of investing analysis and due diligence experience
  • Experience investing in the technology sector through fund investments, co-investments, or secondaries
  • Strong modeling, organizational, and writing skills
  • Deep understanding of private equity and venture sector trends, particularly technology
  • Ability to synthesize complex data clearly
  • Relationship skills for working with clients, general partners, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently in an integrated global team
  • Desire to build a career in venture capital investing
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Meet with general partner groups to evaluate investment opportunities
  • Manage deal flow across the global venture capital and buyout portfolio
  • Conduct market research on investment sectors and themes
  • Lead and conduct investment due diligence
  • Perform due diligence on growth-stage co-investments
  • Prepare investment memoranda and participate in investment committee discussions
  • Negotiate partnership terms with counsel and coordinate closings
  • Support fund portfolio construction and evaluation
  • Author internal and external research and thought pieces
  • Mentor and manage junior team members
  • Attend annual meetings and review quarterly reports
  • Document compliance with investment guidelines
  • Monitor investment pipeline and allocation planning
  • Support marketing presentations for potential clients and consultants
  • Generate secondary and direct growth-stage deal flow
  • Support investor relationships for global venture mandates
