About the Role
You will lead Japan-listed ETF development from concept and feasibility through design, approval, implementation, and launch. You will build the product pipeline, evaluate demand and product viability, coordinate cross-functional delivery, manage product lifecycle changes, prepare governance materials, monitor ETF-market developments, and support broader product initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in asset management, ETFs, investment products, or complex product or project execution.
- Experience in ETF or investment product development, product management, or product strategy.
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment products, ETFs, indexing, and the Japanese asset management market.
- Project management and analytical skills.
- Ability to evaluate client demand, competitive positioning, product viability, and execution requirements.
- Ability to work across Investments, Distribution, Legal and Compliance, Operations, and Capital Markets.
- Fluency in Japanese and strong business-level English.
- Knowledge of Generative AI tools and intelligent agents.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of new Japan-listed ETFs from concept through launch.
- Identify opportunities to expand and improve the iShares Japan product range.
- Develop the ETF product pipeline with Investments, Client Business, and Product Commercialization.
- Drive cross-functional execution across Legal and Compliance, Operations, Technology, Tax, and Capital Markets.
- Manage product enhancements, benchmark or strategy changes, fee changes, mergers, closures, and other lifecycle initiatives.
- Prepare product proposals, analyses, and governance materials.
- Monitor Japanese and global ETF-industry developments.
- Support mutual fund and other product development or strategic initiatives.
