Capital Factory operates the Texas Fund, which makes early-stage cash investments from seed through Series C in frontier technology companies spanning autonomy, robotics, space, defense, neurotechnology, and energy. It also operates All Access, a startup network providing founders with access to investors, customers, talent, government opportunities, and experienced operators. The organization serves ambitious startup founders and limited partners seeking exposure to Texas's early-stage technology ecosystem.

About the Role
You will source and engage promising technology startups in Austin, meet entrepreneurs and investors, attend community events, and connect founders with relevant resources. You will build relationships with CEOs, angel investors, and venture capitalists; write deal memos; promote Capital Factory; speak at events; and accurately track leads in the CRM.
Requirements
- Have at least two years of experience as a founder, employee, or investor at a technology startup.
- Demonstrate passion for emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and robotics.
- Use a reliable laptop computer and smartphone for work.
- Plan to stay in Texas for at least two years.
- Be available for evening events, weekends when deadlines are tight, SXSW, DREAMCON, and Startup Week.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Use Google productivity tools, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Maintain a quiet remote workspace with fast internet.
- Use passcodes and a password manager for security.
Responsibilities
- Meet with technology entrepreneurs in Austin and direct them to appropriate Capital Factory resources.
- Attend pitch events, hackathons, and other community events in person and online.
- Use Twitter, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms to discover startups and connect with founders.
- Develop relationships with CEOs, angel investors, and venture capitalists and invite them to VIP events.
- Read local startup news and engage on social media.
- Write deal memos for promising startups.
- Sponsor Austin startups for acceptance into Capital Factory.
- Speak at local and online panels and events.
- Track leads accurately and promptly in the CRM.
