About the Role

You will derive vehicle requirements and maintain traceability to test evidence. You will plan and execute verification testing, build and maintain HIL benches and fixtures, and automate regression testing. You will investigate firmware issues, support certification testing, maintain compliance records, and improve verification methods, automation toolchains, and bench infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years in electrical, firmware, or software V&V, especially automotive
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Automotive DV/PV process knowledge
• PPAP knowledge
• APQP knowledge
• Experience with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
• Knowledge of automotive environmental and safety standards
• AEC standards knowledge
• Ability to adapt V&V processes for OEMs
• CANbus, Python, Shell, Unix OS, and SPICE experience

Responsibilities

• Derive requirements and maintain traceability to test evidence
• Plan and execute DVP&R functional and performance testing
• Perform EMI, EMC, vibration, shock, thermal, and environmental testing
• Build and maintain HIL benches and custom fixtures
• Automate regression testing
• Troubleshoot firmware issues and drive corrective actions
• Integrate V&V and design-for-test into programs
• Document and present test results and recommendations
• Manage compliance testing and certification
• Coordinate testing with external accredited laboratories
• Maintain certification reports, logs, and documentation
• Develop V&V methodology, automation toolchains, and bench infrastructure
• Assess OEM DV/PV processes and advise leadership
