About the Role
This role leads operational compliance for LemFi's US program, covering BSA/AML and consumer compliance. The position reports to the US Chief Compliance Officer, serves as a first escalation point, manages regulatory and sponsor bank obligations, and supports compliance reporting, risk assessment, and regulatory research.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of compliance experience in US payments, money transmission, fintech, or financial services.
- Hands-on experience in both BSA/AML and consumer compliance.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, FinCEN regulations, OFAC, SAR, and CTR processes.
- Experience with UDAAP, Reg E, and complaints management.
- Familiarity with multi-state money transmission compliance and state regulators.
- Experience with a sponsor bank or BaaS compliance structure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Prior regulatory examination or supervisory matter experience preferred.
- Exposure to OCC-supervised institutions or consent order program management preferred.
- CAMS certification or near completion preferred; CRCM is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Run day-to-day BSA/AML operations, including SAR quality, FinCEN reporting, and transaction monitoring.
- Escalate material issues and deputize for the CCO when absent.
- Own consumer compliance operations covering UDAAP, Reg E, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA reviews.
- Maintain disclosures and manage complaints through resolution.
- Lead the consumer complaints program and propose root-cause fixes.
- Support multi-state money transmission compliance, licensing renewals, notifications, and examinations.
- Manage sponsor bank compliance commitments and track open items.
- Contribute to board and executive compliance reporting.
- Support the group-wide compliance risk assessment.
- Use AI tools for policy drafting, evidence preparation, and regulatory research.
