About the Role
You will acquire and advise affluent customers using financial-needs analysis, recommend suitable banking, insurance, and investment products, explain risks, and conduct portfolio reviews. You will deepen relationships, execute customer transactions, meet sales and service targets, make referrals, and ensure every activity complies with applicable licensing, KYC, AML, privacy, and documentation rules.
Requirements
- Have at least three years of consumer-banking sales experience, preferably serving affluent customers
- Demonstrate a consistent sales record in wealth-management products
- Hold a degree, preferably in business or finance
- Be registered for regulated activities Types 1 and 4 and have passed HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7, and 8 or equivalent
- Be registered for general and long-term insurance activities and have passed IIQE Papers 1, 2, 3, and 5 or equivalent
- Obtain the required general-insurance qualification by passing IIQE Paper 2 within three months of starting if not already qualified
- CRWP registration under ECF-RWM is preferred
- CFP or CFA designation is advantageous
- Demonstrate listening, verbal communication, written communication, and influencing skills
- Be fluent in Mandarin and English
- Meet the additional competencies prescribed for the rank and role
Responsibilities
- Acquire new affluent customers through cross-selling, referrals, and business connections
- Identify customer needs through financial-needs analysis
- Provide tailored banking, insurance, and investment solutions
- Review investment profiles and manage customer portfolios
- Recommend suitable wealth-management products and explain associated risks
- Address customer questions about wealth-management, investment, and treasury products
- Complete call activities and assigned sales duties
- Meet or exceed sales and business targets
- Perform regulated investment and insurance activities
- Attend relevant training and briefings
- Share customer feedback and competitive insights with management
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers and deepen relationships
- Provide product, market, account, and portfolio updates
- Handle inquiries and execute customer transactions, orders, and operations
- Stay informed about economic and financial markets
- Make cross-referrals for other consumer-banking products
- Deliver financial planning and meet the bank's service standards
- Follow bank policies, procedures, security controls, and internal controls
- Comply with licensing, KYC, FNA, PDPO, AML, conduct, and documentation requirements
- Comply with registered-capacity conditions imposed by the HKMA and applicable SFC conduct requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to meet team objectives
