About the Role
You will design and update technical learning materials, deliver onboarding and field certification, teach autonomous vehicle systems and fleet-support procedures, assess trainee proficiency, provide refresher and recertification training, translate engineering changes into field instruction, track progress in Jira and training systems, mentor trainers, and support learning-program operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Fleet Specialist or equivalent field-operations experience supporting autonomous or Class 8 vehicles
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and operating autonomous vehicle systems, onboard hardware, and software interfaces
- Familiarity with Platform Shakeout Tests, Mixed Reality Training, and pre- and post-trip inspections
- Experience delivering safety-critical training and performance assessments
- Communication skills for translating technical concepts into instruction
- Record-keeping experience in LMS or tracking systems
- Ability to travel occasionally
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and update learning materials, SOPs, job aids, modules, and assessments
- Conduct Fleet Specialist onboarding and field certification
- Deliver vehicle operator and Fleet Specialist instruction
- Participate in training ridealongs and provide field context
- Assess trainee proficiency
- Teach autonomous vehicle systems, hardware, software interfaces, diagnostic tools, and fleet-support procedures
- Deliver and assess Platform Shakeout Test and Mixed Reality Training modules
- Deliver refresher training and recertification
- Translate engineering changes into field instruction
- Track trainee progress using the Daily Training Tracker and Jira
- Mentor Fleet Specialists through the Train-the-Trainer program
- Support training schedules, completion metrics, LMS records, and continuous improvement
