About the Role
Lead the development and scaling of a high-performance exchange platform through technical execution and strategic leadership. Design and implement Java microservices, manage the software development lifecycle, mentor developers, collaborate cross-functionally, support global expansion, and ensure regulatory, KYC, security, and fiat transaction requirements are met.
Requirements
- Proven Java development experience and strong object-oriented programming foundations.
- Expertise with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for microservices.
- Leadership experience mentoring and guiding development teams.
- Knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis.
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ middleware.
- Familiarity with RESTful web services and API design.
- Experience with Git or comparable version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with system performance optimization is a plus.
- Proficiency in Java and blockchain application development practices.
- Ability to execute strategic technology initiatives.
- Extensive experience leading and scaling high-performing technology teams in startups.
- Expertise in secure, scalable, operationally efficient technology solutions.
- Understanding of crypto-industry security challenges and risks.
- Fluent spoken English; Mandarin is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of the exchange platform for seamless operations and high performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications and systems.
- Write scalable, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through production deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, and compliance teams.
- Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Lead and mentor junior developers.
- Conduct code reviews and promote best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry practices.
- Manage cross-cultural relationships supporting global expansion.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and integrate KYC and fiat transaction processes.
