About the Role
You will issue, receive, inspect, organize, and track tools, equipment, and consumables. You will maintain inventory and calibration records, support quality and audit requirements, prepare tools for production builds, and improve tool-tracking processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in a tool crib, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Ability to use computers and inventory or tracking systems
- Organizational skills
- Communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Responsibilities
- Issue and receive tools, equipment, and consumables
- Record tool transactions in the tracking system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure tool crib
- Inspect returned tools and identify items requiring repair or replacement
- Track inventory, perform cycle counts, and report discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and receive incoming tools and supplies
- Track calibration due dates and remove expired tools from service
- Maintain calibration labels and records
- Follow AS9100 quality procedures and support FOD prevention
- Prepare tools and kits for scheduled production builds
- Support barcode, RFID, and other digital tool-tracking tools
- Improve tool crib organization and efficiency
