About the Role

You will create, validate, release, and revise V-BAT aircraft service bulletins and maintenance procedures. You will translate engineering changes and operational findings into clear documentation, coordinate technical reviews, maintain configuration control and traceability, develop supporting visuals, and ensure content is safe and usable for operators and maintainers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance documentation, service engineering, or technical writing for aerospace, defense, aviation, unmanned aircraft systems, or complex electromechanical systems
  • Ability to create, revise, or technically validate maintenance procedures, troubleshooting instructions, operator procedures, service bulletins, work instructions, test procedures, or post-delivery documentation
  • Experience developing maintenance instructions for aircraft, UAS, avionics, propulsion, electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, or complex hardware/software products
  • Working knowledge of aircraft or UAS systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, CAD outputs, schematics, system architectures, requirements, interface control documents, test data, and engineering changes
  • Ability to produce sequential procedures for inspection, removal, installation, modification, troubleshooting, functional testing, and return-to-service activities
  • Writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Experience in a configuration-managed product environment with controlled revisions, reviews, and approvals

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain service bulletins for inspections, corrective actions, modifications, limitations, maintenance actions, parts replacements, and configuration changes
  • Develop technically accurate maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Observe maintenance, assembly, inspection, troubleshooting, ground-test, and flight-test activities
  • Develop or coordinate technical visuals, including annotated photographs, exploded views, diagrams, task flows, schematics, and illustrations
  • Assess documentation impacts from engineering changes, software releases, test findings, and operational feedback
  • Document bulletin applicability, prerequisites, compliance requirements, labor estimates, tools, consumables, parts, and return-to-service requirements
  • Write warnings, cautions, notes, limitations, and hazard statements
  • Manage bulletin work through investigation, drafting, review, validation, release, revision, and field communication
  • Facilitate cross-functional technical reviews
  • Research engineering drawings, BOMs, change orders, release notes, wiring diagrams, test reports, and configuration records
  • Maintain templates, style guides, revision histories, distribution records, and document-control processes
  • Maintain traceability between published content and hardware, software, engineering changes, product effectivity, and approvals
