About the Role
Own procurement and cost services across key projects and programmes, connecting engineering intent with supply chain execution for electrical commodities and critical components needed for NPI and production.
Requirements
- Strong technical or electronics background
- Experience sourcing EE components
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical subject
- Experience applying budgeting and cost control techniques
- Knowledge of cost management techniques and purchase price variance tracking
- Experience managing complex multi-layer BOMs
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Responsibilities
- Source electrical commodities and critical components
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Expedite components
- Manage purchase orders
- Manage supplier performance
- Track BOM costs and cost reporting
- Qualify new suppliers
- Reduce lead times
- Support the manufacturing subcontract supply chain
- Apply budgeting and cost control techniques
