About the Role

You will lead sourcing and outreach for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering positions. You will build candidate pipelines, review applications, conduct initial screens, and work with hiring managers to define needs and assess candidates. You will keep candidates moving through interviews, communicate clearly, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and improve recruiting processes and sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in engineering, science, or another technical field preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience at a VC-backed startup at Series B or earlier
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineers
  • Ability to identify and engage passive technical candidates through direct outreach
  • Experience working directly with technical hiring managers
  • Ability to challenge hiring managers when necessary
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing and outreach for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering roles
  • Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, universities, and technical communities
  • Review applications and conduct initial recruiter screens
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs and candidate profiles
  • Challenge hiring assumptions, requirements, and evaluation criteria based on candidate quality and market reality
  • Move candidates through the interview process and maintain clear communication
  • Improve sourcing strategies, recruiting processes, and candidate quality
