About the Role
You will lead a strategic robot platform program from charter through development, industrialization, launch, early-life reliability, and handover. You will align technical and commercial workstreams, manage plans and delivery risks, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading complex technical programs in an advanced hardware environment
- Experience shipping a certified, volume-manufactured mechatronic product through development, industrialization, and commercial launch
- Engineering foundation in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, robotics, or systems engineering
- Technical understanding of system architecture and system-level risks
- Program planning, critical-path management, product-development process, and change-control expertise
- Experience with product cost, industrialization, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, certification, and external partners
- Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience with industrial robots, autonomous machines, or complex mechatronic systems is a bonus
- Experience with safety-critical, hazardous, or highly regulated products is a bonus
- Experience with CE, UL, or comparable international product certification is a bonus
- Experience transferring products to serial production with an external manufacturing partner is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Lead an integrated robot platform program from charter through development, industrialization, launch, early-life reliability, and handover
- Own the integrated program plan, including baselines, milestones, dependencies, critical path, COGM targets, and delivery gates
- Align hardware, software, industrialization, supply chain, certification, quality, verification and validation, service, and launch-readiness workstreams
- Establish clear responsibilities, identify capability gaps, and secure delivery commitments through functional leaders and workstream owners
- Identify risks and cross-functional trade-offs early and provide recommendations on technical, cost, and schedule implications
- Drive evidence-based program reviews and consolidated delivery readiness across quality, certification, service, and launch
- Translate agreed product requirements into executable delivery plans, including certification and country sequencing
- Support make-or-buy decisions, industrialization, and external-partner execution with clear interfaces and acceptance criteria
