About the Role
You will set the technical direction and execution priorities for the autonomy platform. You will design vehicle-control interfaces, build production platform capabilities such as diagnostics and telemetry, bring up new vehicle platforms, integrate shared capabilities, and uphold standards for safety, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in embedded systems, robotics, or autonomous vehicle software development
- Experience leading a technical team or serving as a tech lead on complex systems projects
- Experience with robotics actuation, CAN, drive-by-wire, or similar control interfaces
- Experience with health monitoring, telemetry, diagnostics, or deployment systems for production embedded platforms
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time systems development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction and mentor engineers
- Define the roadmap with the autonomy product team
- Design and implement the autonomy-to-vehicle control layer
- Build and maintain health monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry, networking, and OTA deployment capabilities
- Drive new mining vehicle platform bring-up and field validation
- Integrate shared platform capabilities for mining applications
- Define engineering standards for reliability, safety, and scalability
