About the Role
You will maintain the uptime and integrity of customer systems, monitor daily infrastructure operations, and manage Linux, virtual, and containerized deployments. You will document technical designs, create training materials, automate core tasks with DevOps, enforce security policies, and troubleshoot information systems. This overnight role provides coverage from 1 AM to 9 AM EST.
Requirements
- Submit a CV in English
- Be fluent in English
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Be an expert system administrator for Debian-based distributions
- Have expertise in computer networks, hardware, support, IT security, and tools
- Have experience with cloud, bare-metal, and VPS hosting environments
- Have experience with databases and SQL; MySQL is preferred
- Have programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash, and Ansible
- Have strong Linux, Proxmox, and pfSense experience
- Have strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain the uptime and integrity of customer systems
- Build and architect systems to maintain uptime
- Document technical designs and create training materials and documentation
- Monitor daily server hardware, software, and operating-system operations
- Manage installation, upgrades, and maintenance of Linux, Proxmox, and Docker deployments
- Work with DevOps to automate and scale core tasks
- Maintain strict security policies and guidelines to protect data assets
- Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems
- Work with TechOps, IT, IT Security, and System Administrators
