About the Role
You will lead technical projects, mentor system administrators, manage escalated incidents, and administer internal infrastructure. You will deploy upgrades, provision software and services on new nodes, troubleshoot platform and customer issues, and install and commission servers.
Requirements
- 5+ years administering enterprise Linux environments
- Advanced Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security knowledge
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages
- Experience with virtualization platforms, containerized workloads, Kubernetes, and Libvirt
- Familiarity with routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
- Experience supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
Responsibilities
- Mentor and train junior and system administrators
- Lead technical projects from planning through implementation
- Manage incident response for escalated issues
- Set up, configure, and manage internal infrastructure virtual machines and services
- Plan, stage, and deploy platform upgrades and updates
- Provision and configure software on new nodes
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Install, configure, and commission servers with operating systems, software, and services
