About the Role
You will lead a backend engineering team while remaining hands-on with critical multi-chain features. You will define the architecture for Web3 services, account abstraction, smart-wallet signing flows, ZKsync integrations, observability, and smart-contract interactions. You will guide delivery planning, refine requirements with Product, manage risks and blockers, hire and mentor engineers, and maintain predictable sprint delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial Go experience, or 7+ years in other backend languages with Go proficiency
- Expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis
- Experience with NATS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Understanding of REST, WebSocket, and gRPC API design
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Blockchain development experience
- Experience interacting with Ethereum/EVM smart contracts using go-ethereum and abigen
- Understanding of transaction lifecycles, gas models, and nonce management
- Experience with ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 token standards
- Working knowledge of ERC-4337 Account Abstraction
- 2+ years of engineering-team leadership experience
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers
- Experience with agile methodologies and sprint planning
- Communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to balance hands-on coding and management responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Architect Web3 backend systems using ZK Stack infrastructure and ERC-4337 Account Abstraction
- Define the technical strategy for the UserOperation lifecycle, bundler and paymaster integration, and gas sponsorship
- Lead ZK Stack and ZKsync Era integration decisions
- Design session-key and delegated-permission primitives
- Own signing and confirmation flows using EIP-712, ERC-1271, WebAuthn, and wallet-facing standards
- Oversee the smart-contract interaction layer, code generation, upgradeability, and migrations
- Review complex code for blockchain-specific edge cases
- Identify and resolve systemic security and infrastructure risks
- Improve blockchain observability, transaction tracking, event monitoring, and on-chain analytics
- Contribute hands-on to critical multi-chain features
- Lead and mentor up to eight backend engineers
- Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career-development conversations
- Hire and onboard team members
- Manage workload and sustainable delivery pace
- Own delivery predictability and sprint commitments
- Collaborate with Product on requirements and estimates
- Report progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders
- Improve development processes and team efficiency
