About the Role

You will lead global fleet reliability across development and production vehicle fleets. You will own issue intake, triage, root-cause analysis, change rollout, validation gates, uptime reporting, and reliability-team development across regions and time zones.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
  • 10+ years of automotive hardware and software experience
  • 5+ years leading technical teams across multiple regions, time zones, or vehicle programs
  • Experience hiring and developing engineers or technicians and managing full-time and contract technical workforce
  • Experience owning a reliability, triage, or service function with formal escalation and root-cause processes
  • Experience owning engineering change or configuration-control processes
  • Experience building operational tooling or dashboards
  • Experience with hardware reliability and testing
  • Experience with autonomous-vehicle components including LiDAR, radar, and cameras
  • Linux-based vehicle software fluency
  • Experience diagnosing issues through fleet telemetry and log data
  • Hands-on debugging ability

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of vehicle issues from reporting through root cause and fleet-wide fixes
  • Define intake, tooling, staffing, playbooks, and runbooks for development and production fleet triage
  • Partner with engineering on permanent fixes for recurring and systemic failure modes
  • Own change programs and coordinate global rollout of approved fixes
  • Own validation gates that return vehicles to service
  • Hire, onboard, and develop engineers and contract technical workforce across regions
  • Act as liaison across operations, engineering, and program management
  • Own fleet uptime and build fleet-health, issue-trend, downtime, and resolution reporting
