About the Role

You will lead the development of an algorithmic trading platform while remaining hands-on with code and system design. You will own technical direction, roadmap delivery, code quality, production reliability, hiring, mentoring, performance management, and collaboration across product, operations, compliance, clearing, and engineering.

Requirements

• Senior or staff-level software engineering experience
• Previous experience leading engineers
• Ability to mentor and grow engineers
• Track record delivering complex systems on schedule
• Coding skills in C C++ Go Zig Rust Java Scala or Python
• Experience optimizing low-latency and high-throughput systems
• Experience with messaging queues and message brokers
• Knowledge of algorithms distributed systems scalability databases and concurrency control
• System design experience with object-oriented modeling and service-oriented architecture
• Experience developing Order Management and Risk Management systems
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to operate with ambiguity
• Previous trading or exchange systems experience

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and architecture
• Make long-term technical trade-off decisions
• Own the engineering roadmap and delivery
• Plan work and unblock engineers
• Set code and design quality standards
• Review code and design documents
• Own reliability latency and correctness targets
• Manage on-call health and incident follow-through
• Hire onboard mentor and develop engineers
• Provide feedback and performance support
• Collaborate with product operations compliance clearing and engineering teams
• Contribute hands-on code
