About the Role

You will develop automated regression, integration, and system tests for autonomy software. You will build simulation test frameworks and Python utilities, investigate software issues, execute test plans, maintain documentation, validate SIL, HIL, and VIL environments, and integrate test coverage into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

  • 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 5 years with a Master's degree, 4 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience in robotics, small UAS, or related hands-on engineering projects
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional software, hardware, and mechanical engineering work
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated regression, integration, and system-level tests
  • Identify, reproduce, and diagnose software issues with development teams
  • Create and execute test plans and documentation for autonomy software
  • Design, implement, and maintain simulation-based test frameworks
  • Build Python tools for test automation, data processing, and analysis
  • Develop test harnesses and data-validation tools for SIL, HIL, VIL, and simulation environments
  • Define testing methodologies, metrics, and performance benchmarks
  • Support simulation infrastructure reliability and scale
  • Maintain test documentation and traceability
  • Integrate test coverage into CI/CD pipelines
