About the Role

You will develop and maintain simulation components in C++ and Python. You will integrate driving-stack and vehicle-platform capabilities, investigate differences between road and simulated execution, improve testing and observability, optimise performance, and deliver scoped improvements with adjacent engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Production software development experience
  • C++ and Python software development skills
  • Experience with simulation, robotics, autonomous systems, or complex interacting software systems
  • Software and data-oriented design knowledge
  • Experience debugging complex systems
  • Understanding of interfaces, data flows, timing, and failure modes
  • Understanding of software performance issues and design trade-offs
  • Ability to independently deliver scoped features
  • Experience using generative AI development tools
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics
  • Experience simulating or modelling vehicle or robot dynamics
  • Experience with middleware or component integration
  • Experience with camera, radar, lidar, or GNSS sensor data
  • Experience integrating machine learning inference into production systems
  • Experience with performance profiling, observability, or distributed-system debugging
  • Familiarity with batch processing, cloud infrastructure, or GPU workloads

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain simulation components in C++ and Python
  • Integrate driving-stack, robot-system, and vehicle-platform capabilities
  • Support simulation configurations across workflows
  • Investigate differences between on-road and simulated execution
  • Improve reproducibility, reliability, and debuggability
  • Profile and improve simulator performance
  • Clarify requirements and resolve integration issues with internal users and engineering teams
  • Contribute to technical designs and codebase maintainability
